Under the Oak

Under the Oak, originally uploaded by Noel C. Hankamer.
Cruising Alvin looking at all the big oak trees, I spied this swing and chair under one of the big trees. The house in the background with a flag is a bonus.

Small town America-
As I cruised Alvin, Texas a couple of mornings ago, I spied this chair and swing under one of Alvin's big oak trees. The house with the flag was a bonus.

Gnarly Old Tree

Gnarly Old Tree, originally uploaded by Noel C. Hankamer.

This old tree in Sealy Park here in Alvin, Texas looks old and dead, but I think it is just waiting for spring to bloom again. I will watch it and photograph it again when it does.

Photo from last week

As I passed an antique store, I caught a glimpse of an old mirror leaning against the wall. The mirror didn't interest me, but the reflection did. Around the block I went, and captured this shot.

Fungus on Oak

It may seem weird, but I often find great photos in the most unusual places. This fungus on an oak tree was called to my attention by a friend, so I went out early this morning to catch the morning sunshine as it struck the fungus. I like the effect of the fungus cascading into the light. What do you think?
